Community

At Fighting Power Gym we believe that we can reach our potential by standing together in Unity. Unity gives us the chance to support

each other and enables us to Focus. Once we are unified and focused we become a Power to be reckoned with.

We are a family run gym dedicated to creating a club community which supports each other in achieving our goals.

Kids Classes

For kids between the ages of 4 and 16 our kids classes are dedicated to creating a safe environment to learn Martial Arts skills and discipline

through fitness and fun.

Our POWER KICKERS program aimed at ages 4-12 and our TEEN classes from 13 -16.

These classes are focused on developing the skills required for further Martial Arts training, coordination, focus and improving general fitness.

All in a fun and friendly environment.

Adult Classes and Personal Training

We specialize is Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (Submission Grappling), while also offering classes in Burn Zone and Strength and Conditioning.

Our adult classes are small to ensure special attention and development and are limited to 15 students per class. 

The Head Coach plans programs for all sessions in advance in order to deliver professional and organised classes. 

​We pride ourselves on giving individual attention to every single student.

Personal training options are available to those wanting to accelerate their progress or need extra assistance.

Meet The Team

Mikal Joubert

Former Professional Muay Thai fighter and amateur MMA fighter with a passion for fitness. Mikal has extensive hands on client training experience in fitness, Muay Thai, Kettlebell and strength & conditioning. He has spent the last few years focusing on Muay Thai coaching and encouraging people to achieve their goals whether it is in Muay Thai, performance, muscle gain, fitness or fat loss. He loves to test new and exciting ways to get fit and to transform his body.

Mikal is certified as a Master Personal Trainer.

Kaey-Lib Tan

Kaey-Lib has been doing martial arts for the past 15 years having started Rom Taekwon-Do at the age of 6, he achieved his 2nd Dan Black Belt at the age of 16. He has 9 years of experience teaching martial arts to students aged from 4 to over 50. Kaey-Lib has an enthusiastic, intelligent, and respectful style of teaching that he can cater to students of any age. He currently studies a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science, is an ASCA accredited Strength and Conditioning Coach, and has his Certificate IV in Fitness. He also has a passion for philosophy related to both martial arts and life, and aspires to help others become the best, authentic version of themselves.

Ever since beginning at FPG roughly 5-6 months ago I have seen an improvement in a my ability to fight and defend myself to losing a large amount of weight and gains of muscle. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a combat sport to be involved in or just looking for plain fitness!
